Very well organized and a great trip

After arriving well in Germany we want to thank the Galapagos PRO team for the well-organized and incredible trip. The assistance during the entire trip by your staff was exceptional. We were always able to reach you and responsive. Everything went smoothly.

We were able to take incredible impressions of the country, the people and animals with us.

Not very successful was the climb from the rainforest up to 4800m within one day and the planned hike with an overnight stay at 4000m without any time to acclimate. Even with the medication for altitude sickness (2 doctors accompanied) five of seven fell ill and could not do it. Switching to a new hacienda for our stay was without any problem and well organized by you.

All accommodations were overall great. We’d like to especially point out the Wantara Lodge, the Sani Lodge and of course the Blue Heron Villa in Santa Cruz. The Sea Side Inn on San Cristobal was also to our liking with a wonderful view but is unfortunately not very well managed after corona. The restaurant is not active and the tea station as well as the bar were neglected.

Our adventurous crossing from Santa Cruz to San Cristobal aboard the Andy 2 came to a stop when the drunk accompanying sailor fell into the water and could not swim very well… Despite a calm sea, everyone was relieved making it to shore.

All our additional tours were without a fault and very fun.

Overall, we felt very well taken care of and will highly recommend you.

Again, thank you very much

Prior to our journey we were consulted very well by Ms. Zwermann (thank you very much for that)

Smooth organization and incredible accommodations.

We had a great stay aboard the “Aida Maria”, well planned routes, guides, crew and meals.

A gorgeous dream vacation on the Galapagos islands with an incredible itinerary and guide. We visited various islands, diving and snorkeling tours, excursions, hotels and local recommendations were perfectly planned for us.

The road trip from Quito to Guayaquil was adventurous, colourful, exciting and delicious – just incredible, even though it was exhausting to adjust to the altitude; nevertheless – a definite thumbs up. The seven-day island hopping cruise aboard the catamaran Tip Top II in the Galapagos islands was really great and we even had a German-speaking guide (usually English speaking) – Merci Silvia. Everything went well and there was always someone available if we had any questions. The Galapagos islands were a dream and are highly recommended – once in a lifetime, maybe twice ;-)

A big thank you to the Galapagos PRO team for the incredible planning.

I felt well taken care of for the entire journey. During the preparation as well as at the destination, numerous questions were answered by various competent contacts. There weren’t any issues during our journey, flights and transfers went smoothly. The itinerary included everything, two days on our own in the Galapagos islands and a complete route aboard a vessel. The unique nature and animals were brought even closer to us by the knowledgeable nature guide.

I can highly recommend Galapagos PRO, maybe one day I will have the opportunity to embark on an incredible journey again.

Great support for spontaneous trip to Galapagos

The competent, comprehensive and always friendly Galapagos Pro team assisted me in finding and booking a for me suitable cruise – all that was rather short notice and adapted to my wishes (a 2-week cruise, to visit as many islands as possible). I haven’t regretted that decision – not that I hired Galapagos PRO nor that I embarked on this journey.

Every island is unique in its own way and its traits – and I enjoyed being in the archipelago more than most visitors. It allowed me to fully immerse in the landscapes and legendary animal kingdom and I had the opportunity to better connect with the guides and crew members than the average cruiser.

Galapagos is an incredible destination and highly recommended! I also recommend Galapagos PRO, their support is first class – not just prior to my trip but also during and after!

Phenomenal planning and exactly after our wishes and demands. Our tour was perfect for us in every way, from timing, and places, to excursions and encounters with people, animals and nature. We were completely satisfied, enjoyed every step of the tour and felt well taken care of. Thank you very much Yannik and the Galapagos PRO Team.

Fascinating Galapagos holiday

We had an incredible trip to the Galapagos and were amazed by the beauty of the archipelago.

We had planned our arrival in Quito ourselves and flew with KLM from Amsterdam to Quito. In Ecuador started our booked journey by Galapagos PRO. The next day we flew with LATAM via Guayaquil to Galapagos. The booking and receiving of our travel documentation went over smoothly but the flight itself came with some issues. As a family, it wasn’t possible for the four of us to sit together at all and nothing could be done about that on short notice. During our layover in Guayaquil, we had to switch seats despite there not being any indication on the ticket or anywhere else that we had to do so – LATAM appeared rather chaotic and unorganized.

We spent the first couple of days on the island of Santa Cruz and did two excursions that went smoothly and are highly recommended. Our stroll on the boardwalk along the coast and a visit to Tortuga Bay (best early in the morning) is a must. After those days we went boarded the Domenica (Galapagos Seastar Journey) for six days along the western route – to keep it short: Incredible! A beautiful vessel with, a great crew, amazing food and an unbelievable route that offered so much to see. Every day we usually did an activity in the morning and one in the afternoon, that way days were never boring but also not hectic. We were always greeted with a refreshing drink when returning to the boat and the bar service was great.

After the cruise, we spent another two days on San Cristobal and explored the place and did an excursion – to the island of albatross Española. Unfortunately, the albatross hadn’t arrived yet but on our return, we spotted a whale!

Our return flight with LATAM went a lot better – thankfully, prior to our flight GalapagosPRO ensured repeatedly that we would be seated together as a family. We spent our free afternoon in Quito to visit its old town and were slightly underwhelmed (in our opinion, you can skip this part of town). The next morning we headed to the Yasuni Nationalpark, where we spent four exciting days in the jungle of Rio Napo (which runs into the Amazon). Everything was great and our two-hour boat ride on the shallow river was an exciting experience. The jungle is alive and there is so much to explore – we highly recommend joining the Wayuza tea ceremony, even though it’s very early.

Once returning to Quito we departed Ecuador with Arianca and our journey with Galapagos PRO ended.

Summary:

– Great planning, consultation and local support by Galapagos PRO

– If possible direct flight Quito – Galapagos (without Guayaquil)

– Galapagos with kids (from about 10 years) suitable (that way they can participate in all activities)

– Don’t be afraid of water and be secure in your swimming abilities, also don’t be bothered by animals in the water (turtles, sea lions, rays and maybe a shark) otherwise you are MISSING OUT!

– Yasuni is great and worth a visit if you don’t mind the exhausting climate (remember mosquito repellent)

– Quito can be skipped

Very eventful, colorful trip that met all expectations

With Galapagos PRO we ( 2 adults and 16-year old daughter) visited Ecuador in April 2023 and spend a total of 3 weeks there (Quito/volcanos on the mainland by car/Galapagos and a week in Peru – Lima, Cusco, Machu Picchu). Due to the warning by the German foreign office we considered for a while if we should skip on travelling to Peru. In the end we decided to go and it was worth it: everything went well and we are very happy to have seen the magical and incredible Incan ruins in the Peruvian Andes at the end the end of our journey. And that with the most beautiful weather, what else could we have hoped for…

I would do this trip almost the same way again: Quito and the volcanos of Ecuador were an incredible beginning, the high differences were astonishing! We deliberated beforehand if we should explore the Galapagos islands from the islands or by boat or even if we should board a dive vessel. In the end we opted for the 6 day cruise aboard Seastar Journey/Domenica and it was definitely the right choice!!! It was really great on board, the suite was plenty for 3 people, the staff accommodating, an excellent guide and you develop quick friendly acquaintances with the fellow 8 travelers from everywhere in the world. We would have loved to stay longer and another 1-2 days would have been amazing. The last 3 days on the island of San Cristobal made our stay perfect. On 2 days we went on 3 dive tours and on our 2nd dive we got to see an uncountable amount of hammerhead sharks right by our side.

We especially enjoyed the quick transfers from every airport to our accommodations, that takes out a lot of stress. Additionally, having a guide with our tours was really helpful and allowed us to more intensively experience our surroundings as you don’t have to constantly try to find things on the map or guide book.

In conclusion: we are amazed and thankful to Galapagos PRO for the great organization, support and realization of our wishes. A tiny critique I’d like to mention was on the vessel, even though advertised, there was no Wi-Fi on board (it does make sense), but even our 16 y/old was pulled into the amazing nature and didn’t seem to mind.
