Just four hours north of Quito you will find a much more tranquil corner of the world. A short motorized canoe from Punta Ahuaho will bring you right to La Casa del Suizo. The lodge was built in 1986 by the Swiss explorer and visionary “Benny” Ammeter, who later founded Sacha Lodge. Since then, it has grown from a quaint 3-room lodge above Benny’s store into a 75-room hotel with a swimming pool & gourmet restaurant.
Now, almost three decades later, Casa Del Suizo is still happy to welcome adventure-seekers to experience the Amazon in all of its natural beauty on any of their tours.

The 75 modern rooms offer the guests electricity, hot water and ceiling fans for a comfortable stay. Each of the room has a terrace and a beautiful view that you can enjoy from your private hammock.
With an unforgettable panorama of the Napo River, guests can relax in the swimming pool, enjoy the open air dining area or the pool bar with lots of exotic drinks. The dining area offers an Ecuadorian and international menu, as well as a buffet with vegetarian meals.
