At Sacha Lodge, the friendly staff invites you to forget about all of your other trips and re-define what a vacation truly means. Founded by Arnold “Benny” Ammeter, this lodge has been a part of the Amazon experience since it was built in 1992. It is located in the lush forests, accessible only by motor-canoe from Coca.
Your adventure begins as soon as you arrive in Coca and meet your bilingual guide who will accompany you through your whole experience. From here, a motorized canoe will take you on a two-hour journey along the Napo River.
Along the way, you will spot piranhas, monkeys, birds, and the dense tropical rainforest that characterizes the Amazon. From here, your adventure only gets more exciting, with opportunities to explore the unique black water lagoons and towering canopies of this corner of the jungle.
Sheer luxury in the middle of the rainforest
Each of the 26 cabins comfortably accommodates singles, doubles, and triples (upon request). You will also have a private bathroom with hot water. The ceiling fans circulate air through the screened in, eco-friendly rooms, and the hammocks are a great spot to relax in the whispered ambience of the Sacha reserve. The dining area includes a full bar. During your stay, you will enjoy an international and local menu that will satisfy any palate. You will also have the chance to enjoy a barbecue in the al fresco dining area.
